The 2014 Seoul Defense Dialogue (SDD) will be held on 29-31 October, 2014 at the Westin Chosun Hotel in Seoul. With participation of Vice Minister level defense officials from 30 countries and international organizations, the participants will discuss security issues in the Asia-Pacific region. In addition, the Cyber Working Group (CWG) will be officially held. It is expected that the CWG will serve as an opportunity for enhancing practical cyber security cooperation.
The purpose of the SDD 2014 is to contribute towards peace and unification by supporting the Korean government's Northeast Asia Peace and Cooperation Initiative through enhancement of understanding and cooperation of the international community on the security situation in Korea. By doing so, SDD aims to establish a firm status as a high level multilateral dialogue for the Asia-Pacific region.
