中評社台北8月20日電／美國在台協會（AIT）處長酈英傑（Brent Christensen）20日南下高雄，前往高雄港參觀，並聽取台灣港務公司執行副總經理張國明的簡報，強調高雄港是全世界輸美貨櫃數量最大的港口之一，加入美國貨櫃安檢計劃（Container Security Initiative，簡稱CSI）已有10餘年，與美國海關建立了堅實的信任關係，這也是美台安全合作方面重要的成效之一。
美國在台協會（AIT）處長酈英傑今天搭高鐵南下高雄，安排一連串行程，也罕見的都Po上臉書，包括造訪2艘美國售台軍艦，接著與中國國民黨2020參選人、高雄市長韓國瑜見面，並參訪高雄港，一窺貨櫃安檢。

還記得當年的黃色小鴨嗎? 我現在就在高雄港第三船渠, 也就是黃色小鴨停泊的地方, 在我旁邊的是台灣港務公司執行副總經理張國明先生, 他帶我認識這個重要的貨櫃港口, 並登船造訪台灣港務公司的設施。高雄港是全世界輸美貨櫃數量最大的港口之一, 加入美國貨櫃安檢計劃已有10餘年, 與美國海關建立了堅實的信任關係, 這也是美台安全合作方面重要的成效之一。#SecurityCooperationMonth #AITat40
Do you remember the Kaohsiung Yellow Rubber Duck? We are now at Pier #3 of Kaohsiung Port, the place where the Yellow Rubber Duck was stationed. Standing with us is the Executive Vice President of Taiwan International Ports Cooperation (TIPC) Change Kuo-ming, who took us on a tour of Taiwan’s largest port and invited us on board of TIPC’s courtesy boat. The port of Kaohsiung is among the world’s top 20 ports in terms container volume shipping to the U.S. and has participated in the Container Security Initiative since 2005. Taiwan and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) have established robust trust and cooperation, an important element in U.S.-Taiwan security cooperation.
